ELIGIBILITY / HISTORY
The Putnam County Council on Aging, Inc. (PCCOA) is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) social service organization which was incorporated by the State of Ohio in 1978. The Council on Aging’s mission is to provide services that will enable Putnam County senior citizens, age 60 and better, to remain living independently in their own homes for as long as possible.
FUNDING
The Putnam County Council on Aging is supported from many sources. The most important support is at the local level. Funds received from a countywide property tax levy support approximately 70%-80% of all operations. Donations are received from area churches, individuals, businesses, civic groups, and fraternal organizations. State and federal grants also supplement services. The Council on Aging is United Way funded program
MISSION
The mission of the Putnam County Council on Aging, Inc. is to provide services that will enable Putnam County senior citizens, age 60 and better, to remain living independently in their own homes for as long as possible.
